Using the service
These terms govern use of ShopStream by Shopify merchants and their authorized presenters. By installing or using the service, the merchant confirms that they can accept these terms for their business and will comply with Shopify’s terms and applicable law.
Merchant responsibilities
- Keep Shopify, presenter-device, and staff access secure and promptly revoke access that is no longer authorized.
- Ensure product claims, prices, promotions, availability, and live statements are accurate and lawful.
- Obtain any notices, permissions, releases, or consents required for presenters, guests, music, images, and other recorded content.
- Do not use the service for unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or security-disrupting activity.
Commerce and Shopify
Shopify remains responsible for its platform, and the merchant remains the seller of record. Product, cart, checkout, order, tax, fulfillment, refund, and payment obligations stay with the merchant and Shopify. ShopStream provides the live presentation and product handoff; it does not operate a separate checkout or process customer payments.
Live media and replays
Network and device conditions can affect real-time media quality. Recording is opt-in per broadcast. Completed recordings remain private until the merchant publishes them, and the merchant can unpublish or permanently delete them. The merchant retains responsibility for the content they transmit and grants the operator the limited permission needed to transmit, store, and serve that content through ShopStream.
Availability and changes
The operator may maintain, secure, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, the service is provided without a guaranteed uptime, audience, conversion, revenue, or support-response commitment.
Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended to protect the service, Shopify stores, shoppers, or other users, or for a material breach of these terms. Merchants may stop using ShopStream by uninstalling it. Data is then handled according to the privacy and retention policy and Shopify’s verified deletion lifecycle.
